2026 Annual Town Meeting Deadlines:

1/15/2026 by 5pm:

Last day to file a voter-backed petition with the Town Clerk - must contain signature from at least 5% of registered voters in the municipality.

1/26/2026 by 5pm:

Last day to file petitions and consent of candidate forms with the municipal clerk. The following positions are up for election: 

MODERATOR - 1 YR TERM

SELECTBOARD - 2 YR TERM

SELECTBOARD - 3 YR TERM

TRUSTEE OF PUBLIC FUNDS - 1 YR OF AN UNEXPIRED 3 YR TERM

TRUSTEE OF PUBLIC FUNDS - 3 YR TERM

2/11/2026:

Ballots available to Manchester voters by request only. Absentee/early ballots MUST be requested for local elections.

2/28/2026 at 1pm:

Annual Town Floor Meeting to be held at M.E.M.S. Gymnasium.

3/1/2026 at 7pm:

Annual Taconic & Green Floor Meeting to be held at Sunderland Elementary School.

3/2/2026 by 2pm:

Last day to request early/absentee ballots.

Town Clerk's Office closes promptly at 2pm.

3/2/2026 at 5:30pm:

SVRTSD Floor Meeting at Southwest Tech School.

3/3/2026, 8am to 7pm:

Voting by Australian Ballot at Manchester Town Hall.
