The Town of Manchester, VT is accepting applications for the Road Crew/Equipment Operator position.
This position is responsible for the plowing, road repair, roadside mowing, culvert work, chainsaw operation, equipment maintenance, and other duties. Requirements include a clean driving record, a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to acquire CDL, need to pass drug/alcohol tests, and to perform strenuous physical tasks. This is a full-time, year-round position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, short-term disability, vacation time, and 401a contribution.
Pay range is commensurate with experience and if candidate currently has a valid CDL, $24.00 - $27.00 per hour.
Parks and Recreation
The Town of Manchester is seeking an organized and energetic individual to serve as a Seasonal Parks & Recreation Assistant from April through September 2026. This is a full-time seasonal position (40+ hours per week) with ample overtime opportunities and time-and-a-half pay for holidays worked. Under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Director, this role supports daily department operations. The position assists with park, facility, athletic field, and pool maintenance, as well as special events and program set-up, and may oversee operations in the Director’s absence. Work includes both office and outdoor duties, with frequent evening and weekend hours. Physical activity is an essential function of the role.
Pay range is commensurate with experience, $23.00 - $25.00 per hour.
