The Town of Manchester is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Public Works to lead the Department of Public Works, overseeing both the Highway and Facilities Divisions. In this hands-on leadership role, you will manage the maintenance, repair, and improvement of Town roads, bridges, sidewalks, buildings, grounds, and parks while supervising a dedicated team of employees. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in public works operations, sound budget management skills, and the ability to respond to community needs in all conditions — including emergencies and severe weather. Pay range is commensurate with experience with a salary range of $90,000 - $125,000.

The Town of Manchester, VT is accepting applications the Road Crew/Equipment Operator position.
This position is responsible for the plowing, road repair, roadside mowing, culvert work, chainsaw operation, equipment maintenance, and other duties. Requirements include a clean driving record, a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to acquire CDL, need to pass drug/alcohol tests, and to perform strenuous physical tasks. Highway/road maintenance experience preferred.
Pay range is commensurate with experience and if candidate currently has a valid CDL, $24.00 - $29.00 per hour with a $2,000 sign on bonus.
