Board and Commission Appointments

Each year around May the Town of Manchester Selectboard solicits applications from Town citizens for appointment to Town Boards and Commissions. Boards and commissions are conprised entirely of volunteers from the community.

Boards and Commissions include:

• Advisory Committee on Cemeteries
• Bennington County Regional Commission
• Conservation Commission
• Design Review Board
• Development Review Board
• Energy Committee
• Investment Advisory Committee
• Mark Skinner Library Board of Trustees
• Parks and Recreation Committee
• Planning Commission
• Transportation Initiative Committee
• Tree Committee

At this same time, the Selectboard also considers applications from Manchester residents attending high school at Burr and Burton Academy. The Selectboard interviews applicants in May and June and usually makes appointments before July 1 of each year.
